Description
Other highlights include:
- Special nickel coating for higher surface conductivity to improve touch-off sensitivity
- Each set comes with a 5ft cable with a strong neodymium magnet and gold plated 5mm ECS5 jack for easy connection to two spots on the touch plate
- Guaranteed compatibility with our LongMill and AltMill CNCs, and likely compatible with other CNC routers with 2-wire, NO probe connections (like Shapeoko, 3018, etc.)
- Works seamlessly out-of-the-box with the gSender CNC control software
- Macros and documentation available for other senders too like CNCjs, LinuxCNC, Buildbotics, UGS, and more
- Currently set up for Front, Left corner probing only – support for other options coming to gSender soon

Got my new autozero touch plate with my new Altmill cnc and think it is a great addon for my cnc. The only suggestion I have would to make it a little harder to scratch since getting started with your new cnc and learning how to use it will allow you to crash into it a time or two and make scratches and indention’s into the shiny aluminum.

I find the touch speed and exit speed on unit is too fast and knocks the touch plate off the wood without extensive holding.

Works great

Works great, but can’t figure out how to make this the default touch plate? After exiting Gsender, it defaults back to standard plate. Why? But I do love this auto Zero plate.

The movements on the XYZ are too violent. I have to hold the plate down when I run the probing.

The AutoZero Touch Plate is next level machining perfection! Way to go.

High quality touch block and works seamlessly with Gsender.

Works good

Easy to use.
David Nicholson (verified owner) –
Very simple to use and very accurate. Much better than a simple touch plate.

This is perfect for zeroing out the bit.

The auto zero touch plate is a game changer!! Very nicely machined and the coating is awesome!

I love it. My only issue with it that it would be nice if xyz wasn’t so deep. Many jobs I run are with 1/16″ bits that need to be chucked up high so the bit doesn’t break. I’m only able to zero the zed axis with these bits. Should consider changing things to allow for xyz with shallow clearance

It zero\’s the z and y axis but crashes into the touch plate when it dries to zero x. It has broken 2 tools. I have to restore defaults after I run a gcode file to get it to zero any axis. It seems to be taking a long time for you to help me. Its going onto 3 weeks. I have a Longmill 2.5 and am running gsender. I need help.

Now it easier to probe cnc. When you use cnc with rubber band and not screw and press to hard it jumper over some steps and you must start from beginning. And it is werry difficulte to try to start from exakt x or y zerro but with auto zerro touch plate you can start exactly posision

I struggle using it so I end up using paper

The wait time was a lot but I am very happy with the machine. Quality is above expectations and the support has been excellent.

Easy and straightforward. I did have a small issue, it took me a couple of tries to get Gsender set up to recognize it.
Bogdan K. (verified owner) –
Nice quality product, will do more review when received machine and start using product.

works well

Nice piece of engineering, really hope the next version will work better for smaller, narrower or oddly shaped projects.

I like it. I have had a couple of occasions where I set the Z then started to cut. It was too deep so I checked Z0 and it was below the material surface. Re-zeroed it an it was fine. Now I double check Z0 before start my cut.
